Mission Statement
To provide a confidential and free service, using fully trained staff and volunteer mediators, to help people who are in dispute or experiencing conflict situations.
Aims and Objectives
To help neighbours and communities find ways of living comfortably together.
To promote restorative justice in order to reduce re-offending and repair the harm of crime. The service undertakes Victim-Offender mediation, seeking to express the views of the victim and allowing the offender to make amends or apologise.
To reduce the potential for anti-social behaviour using intervention and preventative work with young people who have come to the attention of the police, so that they may bring about positive results for themselves.
Undertake Peer Mediation training for young people in schools and provide Restorative Conferencing as a valuable resource.
